The rainy evening didn’t give us the beautiful view over Green Lakes that we’d hoped, but the conversation around the table was quite fulfilling. And so was the meal!
Eight WTBers met for dinner and sharing Thursday, Sept. 17 at Yards Grille, the restaurant at the golf course at Green Lakes State Park.
These monthly get-togethers, called schamis, are informal times to eat together, talk and get to know each other better. That was one of the purposes of WTB when it formed after 9/11 — that we would get to know women of other cultures, faiths and traditions.
Usually the Schmai is at a locally-owned restaurant with a menu featuring ethnic foods. If you know of a restaurant that would be fun to try, please email wtbcny@gmail.com.
