She was a journalist. A social activist. A convert to Roman Catholicism.

Dorothy Day co-founded the Catholic Worker Movement and worked for social justice throughout her adult life. She lived to the age of 83 and died in 1980.

Her autobiography, “The Long Loneliness,” chronicles her life from the literary scene of the 1920s to her work, as she said, to bring about “the kind of society where it is easier to be good.”

The Book Club is a good way to introduce a friend to WTB. The discussion on this book will be Monday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome. Contact Barb Bova (babova <at> aol.com) if you’re not on the list to get the Zoom link.
