In this, WTB’s 26th year, we continue our tradition of reaching out to help others.
We’ll gather together Sunday, October 18, 1-3 p.m., making sandwiches to be given to Assumption Soup Kitchen/Pantry. We’ll work together, chat, laugh and share stories as we make the food. Gay Montague will be hosting us at her home at 7545 Marble Drive, Liverpool
Our service project for September through December is a clothing drive for students at Dr. Weeks School, Syracuse.
Gay Montague says these pre-K through fifth-graders need “everything.” The underwear must be new but the other clothing can be new or gently used:
- socks and underwear (new)
- pants, all sizes
- fleeces, all sizes (no T-shirts)
- winter jackets, all sizes
- hats, all sizes
- boots, shoes, all sizes
- diapers, only toddler sizes
You can bring the clothing to any WTB gathering or drop it off at 53 Lyndon Road, Fayetteville, or at Gay Montague’s home, 7545 Marble Drive, Liverpool, through early December.
Our November project will be helping farmworkers by joining in a Sweet Potato Pie Baking Event and in December we will gather and sort toy donations for a children’s Christmas Party the farmworkers are planning. Dates and more will be on the website and in the future newsletters.
