We Remember With Sadness 9/11

Women Transcending Boundaries remembers and honors those who died on 9/11 and the brave rescuers who have since died after the U.S. was attacked 25 years ago.

Amidst tragedy our group was born. It started with a discussion the next Sunday at University United Methodist Church which led Betsy Wiggins to call the Islamic Society of CNY to see how she could be supportive. She soon connected with Danya Wellmon and they chatted the afternoon away. They decided to each invite 10 women of various faith traditions to Betsy’s living room and in a few more weeks WTB was formed.

On September 11, 2026, 25 years later, consider a quiet walk in the woods, lighting a candle, or sitting in a house of worship as a tribute to not only those who died, but for good things that came out of that tragedy, including WTB.
