Faith Groups Join Together for World Harmony Day Feb 2

At a time when we hear a lot about divisiveness between religions and countries, here is a chance to experience harmony! Consider coming to celebrate faith, arts and culture at the World Interfaith Harmony Day February 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

You’ll hear music and learn about the tapestry of faiths and cultures across metro Syracuse. The theme this year is “Building Community Through Sharing Our Stories.”

This observance was first proposed at the United National in 2010 by King Abudullah II of Jordan and since then the first week of February has been observed as a World Interfaith Harmony Week. You can read more about the tradition and meaning of the observance here.

Interfaith Works is sponsoring the event which will be hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4889 Bear Road, Liverpool.

WTB will be providing the food but members don’t need to make and bring items as they will be purchased. We thank Cindy Rhalie for coordinating this.
