Book Club Reads About Migrant Crisis

It’s taking two Book Club meetings to get through the discussion of Everyone Who is Gone is Here: The United States, Central America, and the Making of a Crisis by Jonathan Blitzer . Several media outlets named it a Best Book of the Year. It chronicles the humanitarian crisis at the southern border with stories of migrants who risk and sacrifice to come to the USA. The author is a staff writer for New Yorker.

The book is 544 pages so the women will talked about Parts I and II in September and the next discussion is October 13 at . 7 p.m. If you’d like to be a part of it contact wtbcny<at>@gmail.com and Barb Bova will email you the link. (note in the email replace <at> with the character @; this is so programs that scan the web don’t collect that email)

And if you haven’t read or finished the book there is a summary on Hoopla.
