The Temple Society of Concord hosted our second International Dinner on March 28, 2004.
As at our first International Dinner, the focus was on literacy. A representative from Ibtida reported about the girls’ school that WTB helped build in Pakistan, and local literacy volunteers talked about the need for literacy here in Syracuse.
Muslim and Jewish women brought meat dishes; Hindu and Buddhist women prepared vegetables and salads; and Christian women donated desserts and assorted breads.
The Temple Society of Concord offered gracious hospitality and beverages. Guests brought donations of food to help supply their food pantry.
