WTB President Lorraine Markley wrote a letter for the WTB Retreat. She reviewed the year and thanked all who are so dedicated to making this Interfaith group meaningful and successful. You can read it here:
I joined WTB shortly before Covid and have been truly impressed by the
WTB mission and devoted members, especially our founders. Betsy Wiggins and Danya
Wellman. I sincerely thank so many of you that kept us afloat.
First and foremost is Barbara Bova who keeps us all in touch with her email announcements;
she tirelessly sends zoom links, takes care of deposits, memberships forms and much more. I
think we all need to hear a round of applause for Barbs service despite her personal struggles.
Additional thanks to Daryl Files and her envisioning group for pulling us into a focused and
collaborative conversation. Her persistence is commendable. Planning this retreat with
leadership and commitment is exceptional.
Our revised bylaws were diligently written by Ann Port after our committee met and discussed the various amendments. Maintaining the membership roster and managing WTB legalities are most essential Thank you Ann.
Carol Lipson is our outstanding secretary has delivered copious minutes after each council
meeting, maintains the membership list, updating the list serve and other essential tasks. Thank you Carol.
Cindy Rahrle did an extraordinary service meeting with the Blankethon. And setting up
Shumais and hospitality at meetings . Thank you Cindy
Danya Wellman and her granddaughter helped bring us into the 21st century with social
media. Thank you Danya!
Thank you Betty Lamb for completing the nominations with diligence.
And a huge thank you to Luann Healy for he tirelessly maintaining our finances. As treasurer
this is an awesome task and we all truly appreciate her thorough attention To this sessional
service.
All have all contributed substantially to our success this past year. My gratitude to them is truly appreciated. If I left anyone out please forgive me.
As president, what I enjoyed most was the satisfaction of knowing I made a helpful contribution to our council meetings over the year. And hoped that I was able to move us along with productive functional meetings.
