The next read for WTB’s Book Club is Kim Michele Richardson’s “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek .” The book follows a scrappy 19-year-old young librarian who traverses the rugged hills of Appalachian Kentucky on a packhorse delivering books.
The Good Reads review reads, “She befriends hardscrabble and complex fellow Kentuckians, and is fiercely determined to bring comfort and joy, instill literacy, and give to those who have nothing, a bookly respite, a fleeting retreat to faraway lands.”
All discussions are 7-9 p.m. on Zoom. You don’t have to come to the Book Club every month, but join us when you can. Call Jennifer Roberts Crittenden at 315-633-2817 to get the Zoom login.
