{"id":9207,"date":"2004-03-28T15:58:56","date_gmt":"2004-03-28T19:58:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wtb.org\/?p=9207"},"modified":"2019-01-21T16:08:29","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T20:08:29","slug":"international-dinner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wtb.org\/?p=9207","title":{"rendered":"International Dinner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Temple Society of Concord hosted our second International Dinner on March 28, 2004.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As at our first International Dinner, the focus was on literacy.&nbsp; A representative from Ibtida reported about the girls&#8217; school that WTB helped build in Pakistan, and local literacy volunteers talked about the need for literacy here in Syracuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muslim and Jewish women brought meat dishes; Hindu and Buddhist women prepared vegetables and salads; and Christian women donated desserts and assorted breads.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Temple Society of Concord offered gracious hospitality and beverages.
