Journalist Zeinab Badawi has written a sweeping survey of history from an African perspective. What makes it different is that most of the story has been told from a traditional Western perspective. She wanted to capture the history as known by Africans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Badawi worked on the BBC TV documentary series “The History of Africa<\/em>” and visited more than 30 countries, interviewing local historians, anthropologist, storytellers and archaeologists.
