Come and bring a friend.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Mission: <\/strong>Women Transcending Boundaries (WTB) is an egalitarian community of women from many faith and cultural traditions. Through programs, events, and social interactions, we seek to nurture mutual respect and understanding by sharing information about our diverse beliefs, customs, and practices and by working together to address our common concerns in this post-9\/11 world. Our further intent is to share our personal and collective experiences with the wider community, to educate, and to serve.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong> We gather to learn about each\u00a0others&#8217; traditions and beliefs, hear and discuss\u00a0topics of interest to women and children, and\u00a0form friendships with women from many\u00a0different backgrounds. Reports of our monthly programs begin with the more recent event on the front page of our website. WTB is always evolving. When you become\u00a0a part of this unique group of women, you\u00a0will add to the dynamic with your own\u00a0perspective and gifts. This is how our <a href=\"https:\/\/wtb.org\/?page_id=104\">book club<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wtb.org\/?page_id=111\">outreach<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wtb.org\/?page_id=146\">networking<\/a> have evolved. We welcome all\u00a0women to participate our current activities as\u00a0well as to propose new ones. To join, click <a href=\"https:\/\/wtb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/WTB_Membership25-26.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership: <\/strong>Our officers and members have\u00a0included women who are Baha&#8217;i, Buddhist,\u00a0Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Native\u00a0American, Quaker, Unitarian-Universalist, and\u00a0Wiccan; women who are atheist or agnostic;\u00a0and women who are on a nondenominational\u00a0spiritual path. For the current leadership of WTB, which is governed by a Council with expertise from an Advisory Board, click <a href=\"https:\/\/wtb.org\/?page_id=4303\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>History:<\/strong> WTB \u00a0started in\u00a0Central New York after September 11, 2001,\u00a0when women of diverse faiths realized that\u00a0their common concerns and values far outweigh\u00a0their differences. According to interests and availability, members participate\u00a0in programs one Sunday afternoon a month\u00a0from October through June, join the book club, help with sewing\u00a0classes for refugee women, engage in informal sharing, network with like-minded organizations, and serve throughout the community.
